New panto storage

Here's my first organizing project for 2007. It's not the prettiest on the block but it'll work for me. Mike and I put up plastic over the wall and secured one side of 2"wide velcro strips to it vertically. This way, if I want to change it, I won't tear my wall apart. Lots of people saved their paper towel rolls for me and I stuck the other side of the velcro to each one. They're up on the wall in alphabetical order, and Mike is making labels.
I can't believe I waited over 5 years to do this. Dang, I AM a slow learner. :)

Missed you Eileen, Happy New Year!!

Have you tried regular physical therapy? I quilted 2 quilts right in a row on my domestic machine and pinched a nerve in my neck 2 Christmases ago. Physical therapy took about 12 weeks to make me normal again, and I never gave PT ANY validity...until it worked for me.

Good luck, hope you keep posting!

That is quite a creative storage solution. So easy to replace too if one gets torn or crumpled. Good thinking!

Well that is both creative and convenient to use. Right now I have my panto's in a large bin and I think I'll leave them there for now. Maybe after I'm more settled I'll come up with a different system.

Very clever storage solution.

It may not be the prettiest, but I love the ease of organization and use! Much better than what I have now - a bunch of cubbyholes. This is a great use of your wall space. Well done, you two!

Now I know what to do with those rolls - wait a minute, I better get the LA first... :o)

Happy New Year!

I hope that you are getting some answers about the pinched nerve so you can get some relief.

Really cool storage idea. I stole the IKEA CD rack idea for the templates. You are a valuable resource!!!

We'll have to plan a spring get together soon.

Hi Eileen, I'm so sorry to hear you are still having the problems with your back. Hope that is something that can be taken care of one of these days, and you'll be alot more comfortable.
Love the idea for holding your pantos..both clever and inexpensive...great combination! Glad to see you back again. Hugs, Finn

I would say it doesn't matter what it looks like as long as it makes your life easier. That looks like a very creative solution to me.

That's a clever way to store pantos. I have mine stuck in a cabinet right now and must get something done with them soon.

Looks like a pretty impressive system. Being a librarian, I especially like the alphabetical aspect, and with it being on velcro, if you get something new on Apples and Angels, you can just move everything else down two... :)

Eileen, I didn't realize I was this behind in reading blogs. Getting organized is always a good idea. So glad you found a system for your pantos.
Hope your back is feeling better.

Hello Eileen,
I was wondering if you know of any inexpensive storage options for holding 400 spools of serger/sewing machine thread. I looked at the brand called Artbin which held 108 spools of thread but, the cheapest I could find was $14.99 and I need 4 of them-YIKES!!! Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks a bunch,
Donna.
