Thursday

I took the day off yesterday and spent it with my DD, Keri. She's going back to college in a few weeks, so I wanted to have some girl time with her. We had a nice lunch at Olive Garden and went to see the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean". We laughed so hard, we had tears rolling down our faces. We both love Johnny Depp.
Since I don't know where the photos are going to land, I'll just tell you this is the quilt that I gave to my friend for her grandbaby. I made the binding a bright yellow to keep with the crayon colors of the whole quilt.
I'm waiting to see what project Judy L. comes up with to help with quilting time. I have to go back to work on the bus next month, so I'll lose a lot of quilting time. I'll be grateful for any advice I can get.
Today I need to catch up. I have a bunch of customer quilts to do before I go back next month. So gotta run. But I will read as many other blogs as possible in between.

Mother-Daughter time is always the best. They might not remember how many times you cleaned house or bought groceries, but they'll always remember Movies with Mom....
Cute quilt..I love the animals.

That quilt is cute! Did you applique the animals down to get them looking like they are going over the borders?

Enjoy your time together, Eileen. The customer work will get done but you will never have those few hours back with Keri.

It's nice to have mother/daughter time. I'm hoping to go and see The Lake House with DD Simone soon.

Love the quilt you made. I recognise the animal print. I bought some fabric with that print on it a few years ago for a baby quilt i made when my niece Paris was born. Still had some left and used it last year for a baby quilt when my nephew Jeremy arrived.

That turned out so cute!

Our schools start next week - bet you're glad you don't drive in my city!

I am in that same phase - my dd will be leaving the end of August but I am looking for times to spend alone with her before she goes too - the quilt is really fun

Hi Eileen, great to have finished that neat quilt despite the heat. I love how the palm tree top and the animals reach out into the border, a little. You did a great job. Love the colors..*VBS*
Stay safe out of the heat, sure no laughing matter to have heat exhausion, and it happens soooo quickly. Hope it's cooler there soon, it cooled off here a couple of days ago. Hopefully it has made its way east to you..*VBS*

This is a great quilt. I took my daughter and her friends to see Pirates of the Carribean too, and we had a great time. He is a great actor.
